4 Simple Steps to Manage Acne

Acne skin care routine is important when you're prone to getting pimples.

This daily skin care routine can help you to remove excess oil, keep pores clear and also help you in the healing of existing blemishes on your face.

Here's a small list of dos that you can follow for managing acne.

1. Cleanse gently but well - Use only your fingertips or a soft wash cloth to thoroughly cleanse your face, including your jawline, neck and in front of and behind the ears.

2. Use toner or astringent - Depending on the ingredients they contain, astringents or toners can help remove excess oil and hydrate, or help fight blackheads and blemishes on your face.

3. Apply acne treatment medications - After your toner has dried completely, or after you've washed and thoroughly dried your face, apply the treatment medications on your face as directed.

4. Apply an oil-free moisturizer or gel – This is an important step. Do not skip it. You may ask why I should apply moisturiser on an already oily skin. It’s because acne medications can dry out your skin. This will help your sky to stop it peeling or remaining dry.
