5 simple stress to combat stress

Stress refers to your body's reaction to challenges and demands. Stress can be positive or negative and there are healthy ways to deal with it.

Here are some methods that you can use to relax or reduce stress:
  1. Focus on breathing: Just focusing on your breath or changing the way you breathe can make a big difference to your overall stress level. Breathing techniques can calm your body and your brain in just a few minutes.
  2. Practice Yoga: Yoga combines physical movement, meditation, light exercise, and controlled breathing—all of which provide excellent stress relief.
  3. Listening to music: Music is effective for relaxation and stress management. Choose a song with a slow tempo and it can quiet your mind and relax your muscles, making you feel soothed while releasing the stress of the day.
  4. Taking a walk: Exercise is a fantastic way to relieve stress in minutes. Taking a walk allows you to enjoy a change of scenery, which can get you into a different frame of mind, and brings the benefits of exercise as well.
  5. Get support from your friends: Having supportive people in your life is the key to stress management. If you lack emotional support and friendship, it's important to get it.
It’s okay to ask for help when you need it. Sometimes talking can also help you reduce stress.
