Instead of going to the doctor , use online consultation

Tele-consultation has long been used in medicine as a way to connect with professionals all over the world for expert advice on specific essential circumstances. During the coronavirus outbreak, however, when people try to minimize clinic visits as much as possible, this has become a common and advised practice. Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other similar settings are the most likely sites to contract an infection. When it comes to something as contagious and feared as Covid-19, there's even more reason to be concerned when it comes to going to the doctor. Diseases, on the other hand, cannot wait for Covid-19 to grow less lethal or vanish from the face of the world.

A teleconsultation with a doctor is a possible alternative to going to the doctor or, even worse, skipping the consultation entirely. Tele-consultation is the process of consulting a doctor or other healthcare expert via information and communication technologies such as phone calls, video calls, chat, and email in real-time or delayed time. Tele-consultation is beneficial to both the medical expert and the patient in circumstances where physical examination of the patient is not required for diagnosis. A teleconsultation may fall short in cases where the doctor needs to employ his or her four senses vision, touch, hearing, and smell to establish a correct diagnosis and a visit may be required. Even in such instances, multiple trips can be avoided, employing teleconsultation for times when a conversational and visual lead or follow-up with the doctor can sufficient.

Tele-consultation being a fairly new practice in India, we have listed a few points that can come in handy when intending to have a medical teleconsultation:

1. A phone call, a video call or a live chat can be used for a real-time teleconsultation appointment. A delayed response method, on the other hand, could be an offline conversation, WhatsApp message, SMS, or even email which is not HIPAA Compliant. Availability, costs and response time vary depending on the option selected. Considering the nature and severity of the illness, the solution should be carefully considered.

2. There are several options for scheduling a teleconsultation appointment. There are a number of aggregate websites where doctors and healthcare professionals from all across India can register. You can go to these websites or download their apps to choose from a variety of specialists based on their pricing, experience, patient reviews, and other factors; make an online payment; and schedule an appointment from the available slots.

Visit www.s10.the clinic, choose the specialty of your choice and schedule an appointment with your doctor from the available slots. Online consult your doctor in 10 mins with s10.clinic.

3. Before a teleconsultation, it's a good idea to do the appropriate preparations. Make a note of your worries and symptoms related to the ailment for which you are seeking advice. Make a list of any medications you're taking for any pre-existing conditions. Keep medical gadgets to assess temperature, blood pressure, sugar levels, pulse, oxygen saturation level, and other vital signs on hand in case the doctor has to take quick readings. Also, have a list of questions prepared so that you do not miss out on any questions during the conversation, as you may not be able to reconnect with the doctor quickly after the session finishes.

4. It's a good idea to take notes after the consultation and email them to the doctor in case he or she didn't take down all of the pertinent information. Also, make sure you acquire a valid prescription from your doctor, as this will be required if you want to order medications online. With S10.clinic you will be provided with E-prescription and automated follow-up emails.

5. When taking a real-time consultation, make sure you have a strong network connection. In the event of video consultation, it is desirable to have a high-speed internet connection as well as a high-resolution camera so that the doctor can get a good look at any physical symptoms.

To protect yourself and healthcare workers safe in these Covid times, opt for teleconsultation with doctors as much as feasible. Our doctors are overworked as a result of the current crisis; therefore, they value your time when you come in for a consultation. Do not extend the call needlessly by thinking, "I paid for this consultation, so I have the right to take as much time as I want." This provides the clinician with the much-needed flexibility to respond as soon as feasible. We must be responsible citizens and assist the doctors to the best of our ability and capacity, as they work to the best of their ability and capacity.
